I heard murmurings of sea feedback from the Platinum thread. Does anyone have anything more substantial to add here? The game looked fine to me on a quick run-through.

Just watched the replay again and I have to say that ingame it felt way worse then it actually was.

The huge problem that I had this game was that Siren gets countered by Seawolf (which does not make sense for an underwater attacking riot as it gets countered by nearly everything in sea fac) and Seawolf can push units out of water (e.g. 7:55 Siren made a backflip on water, 8:20 Mariner gets "picked up") which makes them unable to move and partially unable to attack.

The only thing to reasonably fight back underwater units is either monospam Hunter, Duck or Claymore.

To be honest, it felt particularly painful for me in particular, but looking back at it, it does seem more like a case of RUrankindaled ultimately playing a better air game (specifically preserving more swifts for longer) than TWrankgounson8989 and so being better able to whittle my team down for his allies when he needed to. In other words it wasn't about the ship vs other stuff interaction. Regardless of the matchup, I was likely going to lose to ATrankATOSTIC head to head even without him having reliable air cover (and a bit of help from USrankKshatriya) anyway. It was just a case of whether I could lose slowly enough for other members of the team to push their opposite numbers first. Inda in particular stopped that happening.

Another sea oddity, not seen in this game, is that Bouy and Grizzly can't kite Siren, so ships can fight them with Siren/Envoy very efficiently.

I think the Seawolf somersaulting is due to torpedo impulse. I have not seen it with Seawolves just moving but not firing.

Siren isn't going to beat Seawolf if it is dramatically outnumbered, counters are rarely that hard. It could probably be a bit better though since it is slow slow and has short range compared to the higher density sea battles.

If you want another oddity: if seawolf attacks a scallop first during its initial ascent, the torpedo almost always misses (this is because scallop jumps out of the water).

I think that is by design.

It seems odd if it is by design. The three other floaters (griz, archer, buoy) don't seem to have this feature.
