Game crashing all night. I wondered why the lobby was dead. And then when we eventually did get some games going, they often just repeatedly crashed.

Apparently we need a replay to solve this issue, but due to another bug, replay creation also fails. So unless any of the crashed peoplers has a replay available, we'd have to update to -884 to fix replay creation, reproduce another crash and then report the replay.

If anyone is willing to do so, make a custom passworded room and enter
!engine 103.0.1-884-g6feb7a2
to change to the latest engine. Then try for the game to crash and upload your replay and infolog. Make sure not to include any trailing whitespace in the !engine command, the parser is very sensitive.

For the record, we (meaning @KingRaptor) set the engine back to 103.0.1-764-gae7487f a couple hours back, so it should be less crashy now. AUrankAdminGoogleFrog usually handles the engine and he's offline.

Personal opinion below, not actual Dev here.

our population is too small for private testing, while I disagree and hate [and fear] it, I found this method of peak time [or at any time] testing necessary [and effective] for continuing development of zk. I just want it to not be the case.

Interested to know if there is any alternative [except for getting a bigger population]

I've got to run these tests. Since the crash is more prevalent than I previously thought I will try setting the engine when I'm around and trying to report it on the first crash. What we need is a replay of the crash but the engine wasn't saving replays of the crash in 880. A later engine version should fix this and I'll set it now.

Replay saving was added but it seemed to cause a worse bug so I didn't apply it for testing. That was fixed so I was able to apply the engine. GBrankAngrehGnaar found a crash and gave me their replay so I've reset the engine to 764.
