katastrophe 4 years ago no it`s not about better reward. i guess it`s about less punishment. my thoughts were: "hm if i play this now i might have an easy win BUT if i lose it`s not just embarassing, it will cost me a lot and i have to grind it back over long time." i would even play if i didn`T get any reward for winning (e.g. no elo) but the why take the risk? and you can see tht many players just flat out stop playing as soon as they reach a high rating. +0 / -0

DeinFreund 4 years ago During this game, the both of you gained elo in comparison to the rest of the community. The average elo loss/gain is positive. Because AO is a relatively new player, when he beat katastrophe, some of the elo he gained was deducted from all other players. If he was an older player, all of his gain would have been at the cost of katastrophe himself. +0 / -0
