Well title says it all in 10x10 games half people crashes, I think we need unit limit or something who would prevent unlimited resource hogging I with 4 GB ram with 64bit spring often run out them.

Don't play maps with too much metal, size and players. I keep telling everyone. :-/

Unit limits would just limit the game itself.. not good imo.

Well 4GB ram is not enough I constantly run out of ram, I have 64bit spring...

Thats why we should all play Trololo instead.
Instead of 2 hour lagfests with 9001 units in each team.

I never have lag maybe time to get a proper pc and not some 10 year old one? Pretty much any game except really old ones lag on old pc's....

4GB ram 9600GT, 2.2 ghz C2D laptop. Everything on lowest barely playable(there is reason why I make only heavy units they are only ones which I can micro) and dont dare to say that this is 10 years old pc ;)

Forgot to say resolution 1366x768 or 1920x1080, but this dosnt really matter.

Actually it does, lowering resolution gives less to render and so is faster

I used to play on a 1.5 ghz C2D laptop with an 8400 and 1 GB of ram. I'm surprised it was barely playable on yours.

Resolution change doesnt matter for me because zk uses so many widgets, gadgets its cpu bottleneck not gpu.

true. cpu without multithreading is the bottleneck. overclocking my q6600@2,4 to 3,0 made most but not all big games smooth.

2.2 Ghz laptop there is your lag problem. I play on a i5 760 (which is a pretty fast quadcore) and have no problems at all

I have Core i3 550 3,2Ghz, and only ever get lag in large games when there is sudden spike in amount of explosions or unit pathing, and such lag is only temporary.

That's not the issue, Rick. Up until October I played all Spring games, including ZK, on a laptop with a 2.16 Ghz Core Duo (essentially a dual-core P4) and a GeForce 7400 Mobile. If Wolas is finding the game unplayable, he needs to learn to adjust his settings accordingly. I could play all but the biggest mega-porc battles.

>Forgot to say resolution 1366x768 or 1920x1080

This definitely made a huge difference in my framerates.

Try settings 1 or 0.

IMO zk is too resource heavy. Hate missing out on PW battles simply because I have intel graphics card, though problem was fixed, I still crash a lot.

What I hate most is crashing from reclaim solars. I crash second reclaim reaches 0%. Not only is that inconvience, it pretty much disables building solar. Who else has that problem? I can't be only one.

Why would you ever, in your whole long life, reclaim a solargen?

Its feng shui was all wrong.

yeah everybody knows you must press [ twice before making a solar... to align it with the telluric current...

I reclaim solar because they take up a lot of space and generate like no e. I use windgens instead, though they have their problems, they are fragile, and chain easily.

SOlar is basically not an option for me, because I can't reclaim.

USrankSheep, are you saying pressing [ twice will stop crashing?

maybe you can try only using icon... just set the icon draw distance to 0 and all the fancy 3D unit is not drawn... maybe it will fix it :P
