swarm of gnats, couple lances zapping it constantly, 3 widows and herd of glaives, two girls one cup, the possibilities are endless

I think jacks is underrated as anti-pala, in that some riot escorts can't stop it. It does take probably 2+ player worth of metal (plus delivery method) to work against a 8xplayer pala rush though.

So many counters to this, recently saw some dgun comm hit the pala and it was finished with some dirtbags. The pala rush strat is actually weak when you have a team with a higher iq than room temperature.

Humans tend to be amazingly dumb when grouped without a leader, albeit 16 people should be doable, provided they try at least.

On the cancer matter, while i strongly oppose banning or canceling words, i also strongly vote for not using curses or slang where they don't add much benefits. This game has probably one of the more civilised and not-that-dumb communities, so i would encourage the use of civilised language.
English has plenty of words and some of the older ones may have been rather fun to see here.

Using smart words also makes people feel smarter and less afraid of reading text with smart words. Like non yellow press newspaper.
This in itself seems already like a good reason topick elaborated language over swears where applicable

A random question, why is the commanders dgun only 10k damage?

I thought it was 2000, like the Ultimatum's gun.

I understand why some people don't want to see "c-word disease" associated with zerok.
I hope others can understand why I do not want to see "lucifer" unitname associated with zerok.

As for the paladin rush idea, I like the idea of players working together for a powerful strategic plan! Please don't change a thing!

It is basically the only unit I would consider renaming at this point. Make a suggestions thread?

A new thread? Hmm. How about I throw "Ampère" and run away real quick.

Luci's origin is Tachyon Accelerator in BA. Now, charged tachyons would emit Cherenkov radiation (since they are faster than light). So, may be, Cherenkov?

I think the lucifer should be renamed as....
O.M.E.N
Overly Large Emitter of Neutrinos

gives a little hat tip to the old name, also implies the damage output it is capable of

Rename Lucifer to stupid lance, since it costs more, it's stationary and nobody makes it.

Keep the name Lucifer, the name is cool however the unit is garbage.

Lucifer is the demon assigned to the sin of pride and i think it makes a very fair name for the tower with the highest burst damage and still massive dps on a large range.
That thing does deals 400 dps on a distance that outranges a fair bit of the arty. Sadly in its weight class there are all kinds of things that can quickly make it vanish. Including a silo. Is cheaper to build a silo and rockets then a single Lucifer.
Maybe just drop the price to only 1,6k? It would still have the same counters and Desolator is still better against groups due the higher rate of fire and aoe

To be honest not really, but I would like to. Can you explain what the problem is exactly? Like WHY is it offensive in this context?
(OK, maybe something for the rename-thread)

I understand that it used to be called "Penetrator"?
Penetrator sounds fine, it could just be that.

I also just realized that it's my avatar.

Lance was penetrator, lucifer was annihilator and both were ota names.

Maybe instead of arguing about the name of a unit, we should argue about the viability of the unit and what changes could be made to it. I say the price of the Lucifer should be dropped to 2k to make it a more viable defense. If that's too small of a change, then perhaps it can go even lower in metal cost. We can experiment with it.

Someone labeled an enemy Lucifer with "Morningstar" yesterday and i think that's actually quite fine.
