Game crashes on luaUI when loading up a match. please help.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a little problem i am having. I can get into the game completely fine (menu) however when i try and load a match up it crashes but is always crashes at loading luaUI i have tried everything i can thing of which would be reinstall, switching to the 32-bit version, checking my drivers and reinstalling my drivers. if you could help me with thing problem i would greatly appreciate it. Something to try is to use the Steamless version of Zero-K and to turn down all graphics.

the only way I could think of doing that is with itch.io but I cant seem to download it from there. the main version simply just doesn't download and the portable one stops half way through and says this is forbidden so any other ideas. So any other ideas or any ideas on how to fix this one.

The infolog claims there's likely a problem with your graphics driver, so you may want to try different versions than the 546.17 Nvidia driver in case that is causing the problem.
This stacktrace indicates a problem with your graphics card driver, please try upgrading it. Specifically recommended is the latest version; do not forget to use a driver removal utility first.
Another option is to try resetting your previously working ZK install back to the default settings and widgets and see if that will finish loading.

From your ZK install folder:
To reset your lobby settings, you can rename or remove the 'LuaMenu' folder
To reset the in-game widgets and settings, rename or remove the 'LuaUI' folder

The game will create new folders in their place with the default settings applied.

That's not much to go on, isn't there an actual text that it gave you? It's been a while since I tried to use the itch version, but it used to work. Try running it as administrator.

Sup, I'm friends with the OP and was trying to get it to work with him.

About the steamless Zero-k, I ended up giving him a downloaded copy on an ssd which he tried to run. However this came to the same luaUI error about his graphics card drivers. Thanks for the help anyway.

I remember we did try to uninstall his graphics drivers to install another version but for some stupid reason Nvidia wasn't having it and we just gave up. After googling it a bit more it now there looks to be more we can try so we'll do those next. About deleting the setting folder, we can try that although he's already reinstalled the game so wouldn't that just do the same?
