higher hills with platforms on top would be fun too. no metal up there, but land contol advantage. not passable for units, but jumpies /spider. also, there should remain a passable uncontrolled zick-zack area path to cross the low grounds without being in range of [stinger range] from above.

Water? No, ice!
With modified turn/brake/acelleration.
Heavy units brake through and sink.

This version doesn't have a hill directly in the center.
-> It is not exactly an icy run map.

No hill in center is actually good because this way it is less porcy.

I think metal is ok too. It is meant for 10v10 games after all.
