Performance of 98 is surprisingly good. From what I've seen 96 is horrendously slow, but 98 seems to run just fine. I saw the spark aftereffects on the venom's weapon appear unusually slowly which looked wrong (low gfx). Didn't notice any other major issues, and it also seemed like jumps looked better and more 3D, but that could have just been the particular angle they were jumping at.

Keep in mind that this is not the regular, official 98+ build, it's a modified "lockfreelua" build.

Current issues with 98+ are: LoS view doesn't show what's inside and what's outside radar range. LoS view sometimes causes screens to go white/black for people. Ships moving next to shores are completely crazy, accelerating weirdly while moving against the land (might've been fixed, unsure). Ticks and other allterrain units sometimes try to run into the northwest corner of the map (might've been fixed, unsure). Probably more..

The white map thing should have been fixed. I think the ship behaviour is ok.

AUrankAdminGoogleFrog , although the white problem has been fixed for most, it is still there for some players (I'm investigating why), it can still be hidden by changing water type.

Skasi can you test all those issues that you mentioned so we know if they were fixed or not? (I'm pretty sure the running to NW corner has been fixed for example).

While testing if the issues I mention were fixed I crashed midgame. Yay.

Anyway here's what issues I got:

The game lagged. Commands I gave came up in the queue a few seconds late in as the game got into ~midgame (maybe around 3-5s).

LoS view still doesn't show what's inside and what's outside radar. Also toggling between F1, F2 and LoS view updates kinda slow. Though that wasn't the fastest in 91.0 either.

Units seemed to no longer randomly go to the top-left corner, but there were other pathing problems like my commander running against a Weaver that was under construction in the spider factory. When the Weaver was completed and moved on, the problem fixed itself.

The camera moves when I move my mouse near the screen edge even though I don't touch it. This is probably an option somewhere that must be fixed for ZK's default settings.

Ships still act weird on shores, but no longer seem to be accelerating like crazy, so that's fine I guess.

On some maps (eg. Small Supreme Battlefield) /water 2 makes my screen go veeeery bright on F1, F2, L. I only remember the map turning black on occasion. Either this is new or I never tried /water 2 before.

There's some occasional mini-lags.

I have noticed the Weaver thing. A simple gameside fix would be to change the blocking of factories such that they do not encourage walking. Something like Cloaky, Vehicle and Tank factories.
