i believe terraform counts as a radar blip.. i inferno a bunch of unfinished enemy terra on replay that was all that was there.. but in-game it looked like 4-5 units in small area

As far as I recall, radar vision and obstacles is once calculated when radar is finished. If you terraformtrap the radar later, nothing changes to the initial view view.

The comment is about terraform being building nano frames or something. I don't know the full details, but you can repair terraform, and OP was saying the teraform units pop up as radar blips. I personally believe that this is not a feature, and unfinished terraform should not show up on radar, or even be select-able. I have no programming knowledge so I can't approach this at all.

yes unfinished nano frame terra is a radar target.. im not sure but mby you can make a whole army of radar dots appear anywhere on whole map instantly and for free + unkillable

Unless there's some weird interfering gadget going amok, terraunits are stealth, that is invisible to radar.

i may have made a mistake.. maybe there was something there i missed like some flea

this is the replay.. http://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/373350 and about 20-25 mins in i attacked a terra pillar next to fplucks forward spider factory with inferno missile.. i could have sworn it was radar dotted.. but i made a mistake im sure.. ill watch again later to confirm time and facts

to see if there were radar dots.

seems oddly i was not wrong =P

4 radar dots are in fact generated by Terra
27 mins / 78% load-bar
on firepluck stardust towers side..
they wobble around a bit but i watched them on the replay for some time now and i feel its no mistake

using /SpecFullView reveals terra causes it.. but im unsure how to replicate the bug en mass so as to confuse an enemy

i took screenshots but i don't know how to upload them.. so yeah

the dots are around for a good 5-10 mins and i cant kill them even with fire

Any progress on the issue?
I assume this bug causes troubles for AIs. Bots B380586 8 on Nuclear_Winter_v1 - in the middle of the game (~40th minute unfortunatly) CircuitAI and then CAI tries to attack terraunit, that means terraunit got into LOS/Radar somehow. Strangly enough can't reproduce it: in quick-short experiments terraunit never generates EnemyEnterLOS or EnemyEnterRadar events.

Random thoughts:
Can it be due to messed unit id when id of dead unit reused?
Or something below water-height related?
Make terraunit destructable, or autodestruct on timeout?

Edit: On second thought it is probably not a big deal for AIs, should be solvable with proper onlyTargetCategory processing.
