that moment when you want to take a mex but discover your ally has already capped it... why did i need to wait for so long for this moment to happen!

very nice to watch, and a good example how an z-k game should be looking.

Very good for new players to learn how to play this game!

Seemed very onesided though.

it is...
i don´t think it´s a good game in itself.
i was just fascinated by everyone taking mexes, and that applies to all the games i played during this "event".

At least that's what we can teach new players with this recording.
"How to make mexes"
Lesson one: don't let your ally take it first, do it yourself.

It did look a bit one-sided. The map is so open that the raiding advantage can snowball.

Recorded and commented on the gameplay in youtube. Economy and expansion won the game...

i am more on @GoogleFrogs interpretation. South tried to expand fast as well, but they made constructors first while the northern expansion followed a wave of raiders. I felt confident about the outcome as soon as we got several raids in and won a bunch of encounters, all while not being harrassed in return. The map-control we gained more or less ensured we had better eco, as north had to pump their income into units to not get overrun instantly. I felt that we actually won at that point and every possible comeback of south would be more because we fail somewhere on the way.

I am writing all of this because i am interested in your opinion on it.

I watched it live, and fairly early in the game I had a strong feeling that North would win. North had a lot of early raiding and South had almost none.

There could have been a comeback, but there usually isn't, and there wasn't here.

North also did a good job of following up their raids with expansion. South had a hard time expanding because of the raiding, and North expanded into the areas that South couldn't take. The northeast expansion was lightly defended, but South didn't strike there because they were kept busy elsewhere.
