Hints/Recomendations 4 next Update:
Add checkbox "Never ask again" - can be disabled in settings.
Add vote/command "Disable auto start".
Add option Auto abort vote if less than 50% votes in 5-10 sec.
Add auto Abort vote if no new !y /!n in 10 sec.
Add console commands to loading screens (basic lob education).

Up to you which ones make it into the game which not. Any more ideas? Improvement advices/Suggestions?

Hopes: Cobbled.
Team: Cobblestoned out of their minds.
Conclusion: Resign team 1? [!y=1/10, !n=0/10] . . . vote ended due to inactivity.

Serious mode engaged:

While some of this has merit, I think you need to improve on the numbers. The average player will likely be too concerned about in game events to notice polls in 5-10 seconds. Auto abort if no new votes in x seconds is much more realistically feasible so long as you exclude any vote changes (!y -> !n, vice versa).

Console commands don't seem necessary for loading screens. Most of the commands are currently visible somewhere in game. Those that aren't are not necessary to know about (eg: /divbyzero or /atm).

Removing autostart from autohosts is silly. Autohosts really should be ran automatically. If you want custom maps in autohosts, suggest a "suggest a map" feature instead. Ideally autohosts should allow a couple player suggested maps (tied to the number of people suggesting the map) in addition to a few randomly selected or "select a random X map" category. In an ideal world, we could get rid of the !start vote and just ask players if they're ready. Those who do not respond to the poll get spectated before balancer kicks in and the game starts. As a bonus, this would get rid of softlocks (which plague small teams) entirely on autohosts.

How often does the small teams game vote do anything? I saw 10 votes for it recently with no result.

Sometimes I think the system says that 5 people voted yes but 'there were not enough people to start a match' gets told to me. I check the server browser and no teams match has started. So 5 isn't enough I guess? Or elo differences make it incredibly unlikely. At least I've seen another teams room open lately, often small teams all welcome.

From all the other annoying things (spam voting? - why is the vote even shown?!), I think this is the least annoying. I would play more small teams if I would not need to wait so much.

I think if 4 want a small team is already enough and it should be quite relaxed on ranking/unbalance (much more than the matchmaker)

Its sad, i always want to play small team games but if I press y on that vote the game usually ends in 3-4 min with a stomp.

I even have to organize my own kind of event to get decent small team games.

Lately the all welcome small teams room had some decent games. Probably not for you as you are too high in the ranking, but for more "average" people I think it is fine (except the occasional joker player that although can play nice, sometimes plays crazy - but it's ok, better loose a stupid game in 15 mins than in 2 hours)

Last two weeks i've been noticing a small teams room running almost all the time alongside the clusterfuck.

This is great.

all you really need to do to make small teams happen is advertise and seed the room, you really dont need an extra annoying vote to accomplish that.

However...small teams with large skill gaps are far more cancer inducing than clusterfucks ,this is probably a big factor why nobody wants small teams they become impossible to enjoy when you have red players pulling you down to the depths of frustration.

I would like to see a small teams room with elo cap of >2100,and another room for <2100.

For what you want I think you need what Manu organizes: small teams for high elo.

For the casual small games the dynamic is quite different - and I enjoy that as well. For me it boils down to having nice (for me) team-mates. That means communicative and responsive (fine if you troll comm but at least warn me). It will be occasionally be unbalanced, but I see that as a challenge, as long as team-mates don't tell things like "I will do 9 storages and does not matter what you say!"

The community primarily plays multiplayer in the 1v1 queues and the clusterpot room. Some people love it, other people hate it. maybey the active community is large enough right now that setting up an autohosted high elo smaller teamgame room is OK?

Yes, please. What needs to happen for this to be set up?
