Out of range duck shot, like 4x the actual range...
+1 / -0
The conditions for ducks to have insane bouncing torpedo seem to be this:

-duck must be underwater
-fire on ground
-the groundspot must be up slope from the duck

It seems that way, although they bounced really far when they weren't aiming on land as well.

Is this intended? as BRrankTester5555 said it gives them 4 times their actual range, and it just makes the enemy spam ducks which is not fun. I tried to do the same thing but it was very difficult since the water is so shallow on this map. This tactic won them this game, and also another game:

Wait really? I was pretty sure in this battle that the ducks in the middle sea were bouncing their torpedos very long distances, and as far as I know the middle sea on this map is flat.

Nice bug abuse.

That'd be great if we can just keep it this way. Seems like most of the other aquatic units could still handle them easily and the ducks' torpedoes look hard to aim.

You'd think that it would be hard to hit units using this tactic, but really it's not. Since the enemy was mass producing ducks, it didn't matter whether they were hitting or not, some of them were always guaranteed to hit, and it just made a massive minefield that I couldn't send my troops into or they would die before they got in range.

Even units that are supposed to easily counter ducks did not work, I had an army of buoys, archers, ducks, and scallops, and they got absolutely wrecked. Even if you got a Lance to help you, half the time the ducks would out range the lance, which is really just not fun. I tried using Limpets and Lobsters, by then it was too late, and it just wasn't effective enough. We even tried to do the same tactic vs. them (because that was the only option) and we failed, because 95% of the time our ducks just shot missiles and not torpedos, because the sea is very shallow in the middle.

Also, either @Skender has used this tactic many times, or it stuck with him very quickly, or something suspiscious is going on, because it is very difficult to successfully fire torpedos on this map (because it's so shallow) while maneuvering your guys back and forth and firing all the time (while moving).

No actually if you watch the middle sea in this battle we got absolutely wrecked by one person doing duck Spam (there was @Skender at the beginning, and then I think it was USrankTheHiddenManiac joined him, and then I am not sure what @Skender was doing because for a majority of the time it was just USrankTheHiddenManiac doing all the duck spamming) even though we had USrankAngriff going amphbots along with me going amphbots, and USrankTomBodett helping us out briefly there with black hole launchers and firewalkers.

Is this just claymore artillery again?

Skender abused that here: https://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/1190421

Floomby countered with the same nonsense to kill two factories behind a mountain, while underwater. This is broken, and people who exploit shit like this ruin the game.

Should probably make an actual thread so AUrankAdminGoogleFrog sees it.
