My team and I are being destroyed by some 1.6k guy because making flying AA units is pointless in this game. What nonsense.

Let's remove Swifts and Raptors from the game

Why is it that when I have a 2.8k Air player on my team, I can't even get hit by a single enemy air strike? This kind of crap didn't exist in 2019. There was a Swift meta, and Swift was op.

I want it on the record that the 1.6k player was making only Ravens.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If air is uncontested, the dream is you spam ravens because they are more cost efficient than magpies.

Magpies just live longer... usually.

Agreed. Fighters are weak at the moment.

Swifts are okay, except that raptors eat them for breakfast and mean you can't build enough of them.

Raptors are in an awful spot. They annihilate swifts, but are so so slow. You also need far too many of them to take out lots of air metal - ie., a krow or 20 magpies. One of their main weaknesses is that for them to be effective they take all of the players attention to use effectively.

Raptors are far too slow. lose to magpies unless you're very good with them.

Licho needs a health or speed buff - phoenixes are generally more survivable except against ettins.

TB needs to not paralyse a commander in one flyover.

Magpies are probably op at the moment, but probably just because they require a lot of flak to counter or an artemis. They aren't really filling their role of killing a lance - they are more of a stand off bomber that's more survivable - kind of what a licho used to be.

I think Phoenix is good - probably fairly good.

Odin is probably in a balanced spot.

Not sure how to fix, but I think raptors and swifts need a rethink. Giving raptors the speed ability swifts have would at least make them workable I think.

Phantoms are far too good AA and take out my air units all the time. Lances still hit too often also.

All I want is for raptors to be able to shoot in any direction including directly backwards, and I want them to be able to zigzag as if they are air skirmishing targets slower than they are.

They could be flying in S or 8 trajectory behind a slower target, keeping it at max laser range as the raptor continuously fires at its target.

It would still have issues catching up to bombers though, but would be able to gun down the likes of krows and revenants without getting gunned down by them.

How much sense does it make a rev flying away can turn around and 1shot a whole flock of raptors trying to kill it?

"Air superiority".

Also there is no way in hell likhos can get the slightest buff. If anything, their missile should lose some turn rate.

I would like to see a slowbeam sidearm so they take advantage of the fact that they themselves slow down to shoot.

Meh... what's the point of slowbeam if you're not even catching up to your target to begin with.

I think raptor is conceptually the same as riot on the ground game. They're effectively a flying mace. Riots need to be positioned ahead of time to intercept what they counter. The challange is that you can use terrain to predict where to put your riots, while planes can come from bascially anywhere on the front.
