Newly created accounts unable to login to ZK site

sprang 10 years ago (edited 10 years ago) Newbies @Froodem and @matfac were voicing problems in #zk, and I went to make a little test. It seems newly created accounts are unable to login to the Zero-K site. I made two test accounts, @honkerman and @honkerman2. When trying to login to the ZK site with either of these, I get a page that says "Invalid login name". +1 / -0
norm0616 10 years ago Additional information: New players can log into webpage but not lobby New players can start a private lobby but cannot play missions New players can still chat in lobby Re-Installing lobby did not help Making a new account did not help New players see the welcome page when in "Home" under lobby +1 / -0
sprang 10 years ago (edited 10 years ago) Also I just asked norm0616 to make a new account to test this. He made the account @Wulfric, and had the same problem logging in as I did with my smurfs. +0 / -0

xponen 10 years ago (edited 10 years ago) I can load Youtube, this mean my ISP is okay. EDIT: I can't even join a room :( EDIT2: okay, no problem now :) (I tried different OS, it had trouble connecting specifically to ZK stuff for unknown reason) +0 / -0
Forever 10 years ago Most of the names are taken in this game thats why we have this login problem. We need to make automatic reset so afk players of 1 year will be removed. If they come back they will get theyir account back but with a nickname+ 1 or what number so it won,t run into other names. +0 / -0
sprang 10 years ago No, this login problem wasn't because the names were taken. We were able to login to lobby but not to site. And it's been fixed now. +0 / -0

Fortaleza 10 years ago I do not play (still waiting to buy a better PC), but use this forum a lot, so do not delete my acc... Will play again when i get a better PC (new laptop did sux). +1 / -0
Yogzototh 10 years ago If we are to commit an account purge, i suggest only delete accounts with under 10h played, which have been inactive for over a year. +2 / -0
