It was amazing how USrankAdminSteel_Blue literally backstabbed scorchers and pincered them at the same time by making only one or two of his "running away" scythes double back in cloak to be right behind where the scorchers would try to run!

Thanks for analysis CArankAdminShadowfury333.
I don't think another unit mix would have helped greatly, although few levelers might have helped to safe the factory at least. Darts could have helped to spot scythes, but I doubt they would have been able to kill them.

That I should have done really was to make a 2nd factory which is good at countering Scythes. Best options would probably have been to make puppies or gnats. The rest of the cloakies would be relatively easy to counter with LV.

You can get a lot of darts for the price of a scythe. Dart+scorcher would be perfect. Levelers are too slow to deal with scythes.

Yeah, the demonstration bit is a little wonky, on account of the fact that I'm desyncing the replay, but my point was definitely that darts are there for spotting and screening. I was only unsure about Dart+Scorcher due to cost (3xDart + Scorcher = Scythe) since it requires a lot of attention to the darts so that the Scorcher doesn't die first.

Levelers are quite slow, that's why I figured they'd be best on defense. Probably just one or two around the factory and one on each Mason. I got a bit lucky in the demo bit in that Leveler happened to be the best option in that situation with the factory.

Puppies would probably be best, since 2 of them kill (IIRC) a Scythe, but a Scythe costs as much as 5. They'd probably work best in threes: one takes the hit and the other two attack.

*4: One gets hit, two attack and kill, the last one eats the wreckage.

Two people entered a room. After a while, three got out.
"That's a measurement error" - thought the physicist.
"If one more entered, the room would be empty" - thought the mathematician.
"Somebody touched the puppy gadget' - thought GoogleFrog.
