I am going to pre-emptively quote the Code of Conduct to anybody who wishes to discuss the events at the start of this game:

From section 2:

From section 6:

In particular do not kick players for failing to play or cooperate to your standards. Kicking players for griefing is acceptable, but in the heat of the moment it is often very difficult to distinguish between griefing and unintentional poor play. If you demonstrate poor judgement when using kick polls you may be prohibited from using them in future or banned outright.

I will take that offer and ask why DErankTheoDiaz doesn`t get a warning about not self-destructing units.

I have to add that i am really annoyed with those shitty kickvotes. They undermine those of people that have better reasoning behind it. the last kickvote I have initiated was against someone that played at least 5 games with us, small teams, refused to listen during all of them and was warned multiple times. I immiediatly got called out for it, and now i see why.

DErankTheoDiaz announced an intent to quit Zero-K on discord earlier after abandoning that game, so warning them may be lacking in value :(

For a different spin on that answer, DErankTheoDiaz was already kicked from this game for the self-D. Under different circumstances somebody might be warned or banned on top of a kick for self-D or teamkill.

Under these circumstances, taking further modaction feels like it would make us complicit in the harassment of DErankTheoDiaz which provoked the self-D in the first place. The moderators and the Code of Conduct are not a tool to be used to assist in harassment and abuse and we take a very dim view of abusers attempting to use us in that manner (this sentence is explicitly not directed at DErankkatastrophe).

I have to stress that i make myself judge of my own judgement, and this is definitely NOT a good idea. EVER. But it is out and now it`s there.
