This is not the first time crab has decided to gain self awareness and suicide itself into porc on me. The unit AI and ordering for crab is really bad. I feel like I need to watch crab for at least 20 seconds after setting it down so it doesn't decide to just wander the fuck off. It needs an explicit 'please, PLEASE, DO NOT FUCKING MOVE' button.

This isn't the only problem with Crab's unit AI. The unit description says it's a riot unit, but 2-3 well micro'd scorches can kill an entirely non-moving crab with minimal losses. 3 scorchers shouldn't be able to kill a 1600 metal "riot" unit, not even close. You could make an argument that crab is some kind of 'riot-skirmisher', but that's not the point; if the difference between losing a 1600 metal riot unit to 4x less its value in raiders is micro, then the unit AI needs improvement.

It had a guard order on itself. When it was attacked by the Grizzly it retaliated against the unit that attacked what it was guarding by gaining an attack command. It followed the attack command when the Grizzly moved away.

This all seems reasonable, except I'm not sure why units are allowed to guard themselves.

I'm fairly sure self-guard was blocked at some point in the past.
