At first he made more metal than you because he made more mexes and more energy than you.

Then he loses his factory. This is where thing get a bit tricky. He's excessing at that point, which means he's not spending as much energy as he could, which means that the few energy buildings he has contribute to overdrive.

It is a bit ironic because if he spent more, his income (not stockpile, actual income) would go down because spending metal costs energy, which reduces overdrive.


Usually, when people post a general "tell me how to get better" post, it's about a loss and they want to know at what point it went wrong. But since you had an 83.7% victory chance, I would say the first step to improve would be to try to find opponents that are closer to your rank.

You mean you MatchMaking rank is still low because you did not play much. Probably will adjust rather quickly if you keep playing some MatchMaking games.
