UG had a substantial eco advantage in this game. Mainly due to gaining the initiative from good pressure in the early game combined with quick expansion.

Both players quickly began spamming hermit and in spider mirror it makes sense. Redback is out-ranged and more costly than hermit. Recluses can't kill hermits in time. Venom wasn't impressive pre-nerf and now it's probably not even worth consideration.

UG began to lose map when he made a crab and it got stunned by a widow. It was killed by hermits easily.

More hermits and extra porc (like faradays/newtons) instead of the crab would have won this game for him.

In my opinion, if hermit is going to be nerfed, it should be done in a way that steers spider mirrors in a different direction rather than simply building hermit on repeat.

AUrankCharmedmage suggested an idea of a projectile speed nerf and I believe it's an interesting idea. Hermit would be worse against raiders, and in spider mirrors, venom (given a buff) could be relevant again.
