Does anyone know if there's a way to get nanolasers without changing any other lups settings? I just personally prefer the look of the lasers to the weird cloud of gas.

If I am not mistaken, this should work. SpringSettings -> advanced settings -> render details -> Max nano simultaneous particles and set it to min.

What lobby do you use to do that? I'm using ZK lobby, so I tried changing "MaxNanoParticles" to 0 in the .cfg file but no luck - it didn't seem to affect the nano at all.

Did you change the .cfg in the my games\spring\engines folder or subfolders?

You can get nanolaser by adding "quality=2" to your lups.cfg file, located in my games/spring.
This might tone down some other effects though.
