Yes, I got duped there and had two major rushes kill our base, but they were beaten thanks to deinfreund. The third met a stardust.
The only reason I did not die in those two battles this morning was because of deinfruend's proximity,his firewalker skills, the Sumo and the defense force (Hermits,Recluse) in the first battle, Scythes the next.

It's my 2nd time using this fac, and yes, under pressure I do make mistakes.
I do think capturing the south east would have helped, but, my only defenses were currently scythes, and that would be even more territory to cover, and remember the fact that he still had raiders which could respond.
I personally would have used Spiders, but I wanted to help dein.
