Your lack of framerate is disturbing.

Are you sure this isn't just your gif decoding? I agree that the game is unacceptably stuttering for its 2005 graphics, but it isn't that bad..

Here's the non gif version for comparison.

Ok, the previous statement might be affected by using phone. Will report back with notebook when I get my hands on one.

I think the fail was using ultis to kill cons and razors... in front of DDM.

BTW the gif lags a lot on my pc whereas the other version does not.

It was thirty minutes into the game and FRranknewparrain has been busy flooding the enemy with fleas for the last 15 minutes. After my second remark on how the east team failed to tell him how ineffective this strategy is, GBrankTechAUmNu suggested him to stop. Now he switched to building pure ultimatums, after all the enemy had Banthas that needed to be killed.

The first ultimatum was set to autofire and opened fire against a brawler, the shots missed and the brawler killed it. Now the next ones were set to hold fire, and, as you can see in the gif, managed to kill two enemy constructors. This was already more than half the Banthas cost in Ultimatums lost. I don't quite remember what happened to the next few ones, but I don't think the Bantha was ever hit by a single d-gun. In the end, far more than a Bantha's cost was spent on Ultimatums by multiple players.

Now if you're wondering why heavy units are so effective in team games: They have a smaller chance of dying to random unit spam and cause players to invest in useless "counters". Nuke seems to be the most effective, because antinukes are even built regularly without any signs of an enemy nuke and are then left to be easily disabled. The west team invested 7k in antinukes that intercepted one nuke(worth 3k) due to improper communication on the east team. Then west's entire base (worth 120k metal) was nuked.

Besides all the fails, there was very nice cooperation on that last nuke, where one player stunned the antinuke so that the nuke could pass freely.
