Running under MacOSX

Did anybody managed to get zerok running under MacOSX for online play?

Install Arch as a guest in VirtualBox but seems that 3D acceleration is not working as it should. Some posts suggested VMWare Fusion for 3D acceleration and might give it a try, but thought to check first if anybody had more success with any other solution.

(don't want to use the Mac for this, but I travel with work and work laptop is Mac)

Ok, so no native, that was my feeling.

FYI it started in Virtual box with software 3D render, but it was kind of slideshow... I think they mention that in VirtualBox the 3D acceleration works with a Windows guest, but that would be even more bleah.

So, anybody managed to get to decent speed with any virtualization technology?

running in a virtual environment is a dead sign too. Spring with ZeroK is only singlethreaded. You can play under virtual environments but only with graphics passthrough, even then you really need a powerful pc and you will really lag performance.
Why not get a real pc? Mac is really good in what it is, but not gaming. :-)

DErankChesti: so, basically don't want to carry two laptops just so that I can play spring while not at home.

@Snubbe: Thanks, did not realize wine also works on Mac, will give it a try.

Thanks for the suggestion, but can't touch the partitions and boot process (encryption, enterprise management stuff, etc.). Wanted something more "user space".

Userspace solutions gonna suck performance-wise, wine would be your best bet I think...

Gaming on an Arch Linux for now, but trying to game more :-p.

Yes, from all the "user space" wine is best if it works. Did not had a chance to give it a try yet..

For reference: both last dev and last available stable version of wine do not seem to work with zerok, although it install it, but it fails to create a OpenGL 3.0 context.

Next idea: use a bootable USB stick with linux on it.
