Hello all. There will be a 3v3 tournament on 1/19 @ 16:00 UTC to bring in the new year! Standard rules apply. Map pool will be determined by the winter map making contest. Entry conditions: - Team total whr must be below 6900.Edit 3: It's too confusing to continue this rule. WHR changes between checks. Plus this is for fun, so whatever. Format: 5-6 round swiss. In case of any draws, a bo1 match will occur to determine placement. Expected runtime: 4 hrs This tournament will have more relaxed conditions. Newbies are encouraged to sign up for some fun!
Signups: Edit: Format changed from swiss->se to pure swiss. Edit 2: 1/19 -> 1/26 to allow additional signups.

I can cast this. Also, I think 4 hours is a bit optimistic, I'd bank on 6. I realize a lot of the earlier 3v3 tournaments had shorter casted matches, but those had more fast maps like Speedmetal or were Bo1 before finals, and the Swiss portion is going to be limited by the slowest match. The SE portion could be quick, or it could be really even with 1-1.5 hours per set. I don't plan to cast the Bronze match if the semis go on for a while, but I would like to cast all the SE matches (both semis, bronze, & finals).

I would like to be in, but don't finish work until 1600 (it's rare I get out on time). However, if people are looking for extra bodies, either because they didn't have enough to begin with, or someone drops out, I'll be happy to join in. Only problem is I can't commit to being there exactly when tournament starts. The last 3v3 tournament was good fun though, so I definitely want to be part of this if I can.

Oh well, could have been fun. My friends have only 200 games played but I see you need to be mentally deficient to meet the requirements for this.

Anyone wants to join up with #TeamFail?

I thought it's more casual event... Could we have some more casual event where there's only swiss until the end? I mean organised 2v2s or 3v3s where people come with expectations to play few games in semi-organised fashion free to join or drop at any round. Failer I think I can fail with you and maybe someone else like katastrophe or @_Shaman for fun. I'd like to play few games with discord or something before hand with you.

6900 whr isn't unreasonable. You can almost put 3 @zenfur in a team! Zenfur is 2497.4495 whr for comparison. Hell, you're only 2533.5 whr. I don't do max(cas,mm), I do max(avg(cas,mm),max(cas,mm)-300) when determining whr. All this means is you can't stick yourself on a team with godde and randy. You could almost team up with Anarchid and @zenfur. (you'd only be 438whr over the cap.) quote: I thought it's more casual event... TL;DR: whr that counts is whichever is highest: the average of your two whr's or the biggest one minus three hundred.

Depends on how many people sign up. Low count I'll probably join in. High count, unlikely.
Important Notice: This tournament has been delayed to the 26th @ 16:00 UTC due to low signups.
