Please fix FFA chat, or provide lobby sound ping

Log on at midnight to work;
Sit in FFA Battle Channel set to "playing"
Work on other window while waiting.
Use Linux so the Lobby makes no noise.
Game starts with me as spectator.
CAN'T MESSAGE OTHER PLAYERS WHILE THEY ARE SAYING
"IF gogo comes back in next 5 minutes we will restart"
Message in every possible way, No way to communicate with players in game.
Happens twice.

Now 2 am, and they are mid game.
Log off, go to bed, work tomorrow.

Rinse and Repeat.

Make FFA AllChat able to be toggled off please.
Or make the lobby give sound !ring for Linux (ubuntu)

Yeah, another drawback is this one:
If you have a DC, even if the others would be willing to pause for you to rejoin - u can't communicate with them.

I guess FFA public spec/lobby-chat is disabled for the same reason as in MM, to avoid speccheating.
However, given that players in ZK generally have a too high level of respect for the game to speccheat... I'd be in favour of enabling public lobby-chat at least, if not also spec-chat.

Could be a tryout period for a while - and if no complaints come in, make it a permanent thing.

Hm, I think you might want to play something else for comparison. That might change ur perspective.
In BA people sometimes have a blatant misregard for it - and situations that are plain speccheat or very borderline arise WAY more often. Still not often - but definitely more often than in ZK.

Mods and Admins may be confronted with those situations way more often - but its been a LONG time since I saw something that was definitely spec-cheating... and it ain't like thats cuz I don't spend enough time on this game.

In FFA the smallest basic comments from a spec can affect the entire game. Disabled spec chat in FFA is vital
