I've been playing against other players, and they started with stronger units instead of raiders first.
Is there a way to deal with them while still have low economy?

You can scout for them and have enough time to respond because they are slower.

Just use appropriate unit counters.

If they build big assault units, use raiders or skirmishers.

If they build riot units, use skirmishers.

If they build skirmishers, use raiders.

If they use artillery, use raiders.

If they have strider units, you should have already scouted them and killed their base and economy while they waste all their metal on something that should never finish.

In any case, as USrankOflameo pointed out, scouting is very important so you can plan ahead for what they have.

USrankKshatriya basically covered it.

I'd just like to add that the biggest thing most new players do wrong is to passively build up their base in a corner somewhere.

ZK is a game that demands aggression and dynamic expansion.

Basebuilding is secondary to that.

You need to scout the enemy right away and see what factory and units they are building. You need to kill his constructors, mexes and energy. Keep them from expanding fast, while you try to expand as fast as you can. Basically, if you do this, you will deny them the metal to build the big units while having enough metal to build swarms of raiders yourself.

Another suggestion is to check at the end of the game the graphs, most importantly "Metal produced". If most of the time you are below the enemy, it means that you must expand more (as getting metal extractors is essential for metal production). If the difference between their income and yours is too large, units will matter less as your enemy will just build much more than you.

What if other allies don't scout? Only me?
Or the defense is too dense to scout

Actually, I know the reason why I am keep losing.
Other allies are also the main factor. They don't do well sometimes. They're cheesing and want to make anything big at the earlier of the game.

I maybe have to go back to co-op instead.

If you scout, others can see it. Try 1v1 so you don't have to carry other people.

Everyone should become an expert at 1v1 before attempting teams games.

Most don't... but in an ideal world this would mean everyone knows the basics for the game.

In teams games, you can get away with poor strategy because teammates can fill in for mistakes without getting the same feedback you get in 1v1.

HARD STOP. This is a bad mentality, drop it immediately! Blaming your teammates is bad full stop. Your play can be better; to blame them is only skirting responsibility.

If you want to win, you need to get into the mentality that your play is the limiting factor. If your allies want to have fun by rushing out big units, that's on them. It sucks, but they're out of your control. You are in direct control of your actions so you're the one that needs improving if you're to go down the route of competitivity.

Last night I speced a team game, wow, first time I saw so many Russian players.

The strategy is not my type, lineup assaults skrimisher artillery, proceeding with porcs static/fighter AA/shield.

And Nuke, strider.

None of these I practice often.

There are many play style. By watching, people really like to go hide and seek, single type units spam.

I was even forget that co-op against AI is a thing, so I use raiders at the first phase.
Or the opponent takes a risk to carry their commander to expand.

The above being said, you will play some games where your teammates play well below their normal skill level, which leads to a loss for your team. You'll also play games where your opponents play well below their normal skill level and you win because of that rather than anything in particular that you did. It is important to be able to identify the specific times when that happens, and not place too much emphasis on those games when evaluating the effectiveness of your own strategies, without using it as a blanket excuse for your rating or winrate in general.
