@dythe68 to put it very simple: I failed.

1st. I did not want to be the first to finish a superweapon because I didnt want to become the target of everyone.

2nd. I was not sure that even with the superweapon, I would be able to win, especially with Anarchid so close. Izi so strong, and probably still pissed at me because of my attack earlier. Also due to my position I barely had any knowledge on whats going on, on the map...

3rd. Desolater is such a weak defense late game, i prefer to spend my metal on nearly only essential stuff.


My analysis of my mistake:
When I was fighting Izi, I should have pushed him back a little further, and leave him with less metal. And if he would not have accepted that. Keep pushing until he is no more.
Then I should have imeadiatly taken out Anarchid by killing all his singus with my sub. And send that detri to him to finish him off. The attack would have been supported by a big amphibious manouver to basically swamp his whole territory in just under 2 min.
With Anarchid basically out of the game, I should then have gone and finished Izi off, who by then would be strong again, but probably just not as strong as I would be at that point. I would have needed to use massive air for that invasion too, and get a few other factories.
During all this time, of course Dave would have gotten the SW, but I would ahe gotten so much territory that I would simply not care, especially with a large chunk of territory out of his reach.
And then I would normally win because of more experience.

But there are many If's....
