In https://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/1424365 player USrankTelion gets kicked for teamkilling me with blastwings. He rejoins a minute later like nothing happened and starts building a gunship factory again.

Also honorary mention: a player of 4 years can still not know that metal income from metal extractors is shared. There needs to be some better way to communicate this very basic game mechanic that so many people have problems with.

Well, "kick" means to kick someone out of the room, not banning him from it. And also, people cant rejoin the exact same game while it is still in progress. They have to wait for it to finish to rejoin.

You could add a dummy squad to each team with multiple squads. A gadget would give every mex to its team's dummy squad if it exists. Some parts of the game would have to consider this, though. For example, the maximum number of actual squads would be reduced.

Kick blocks rejoin for 5 minutes.

Or should, anyway.

wrong. rejoin and catching up is exactly what happens. this is meant to be like this, in case your game crashed. the game does not differentiate between kick and crash. it should though.

EDIT: apparently, see EErankAdminAnarchid 's answer.
