On opening economy composition:


You've gone with a lot more solars than metal extractors, this has meant you have much more energy than you need and it's being somewhat inefficiently converted back into metal. Your opponent has six metal extractors to your three, giving him an extra 300 metal so far. In the early game you want 1-2 solars per metal extractor.


On opening offense/defence/eco balance:


You've made 6 Scorchers but not a single constructor to help build up your economy.
This is a very offense-heavy set up but you aren't using it to raid, this means it's mostly sunk metal that's not doing anything useful.

If you're worried about being raided by enemy kodachis then it's worth noting that the Lotus turret is very good against them. With a single scorcher able to intercept you can fight off two Kodachis with a Scorcher and a Lotus (if the Kodachis try and dive at the Lotus your Scorcher can close to *point blank range* and melt them with its 300 dps). And even a single lotus will normally make a Kodachi reconsider.

On tactics:


Note that in the early game it's not really the enemy army you want to kill, it's the enemy's income in the form of metal extractors.
Avoid running down a kodachi if you don't have to to save your econ buildings right now, instead make a run for the enemy's stuff.
Scorcher in particular is VERY effective at killing light defences like Lotus and any economic buildings like metal extractors. And with it's high speed Kodachis struggle to catch it, so you can often get in and out, killing all the enemy expansion while avoiding the Kodachis.

Also, attacking the enemy is very effective at distracting them from attacking you! And in Tank vs Vehicles in particular, the Vehicle player has a huge advantage in that Lotus are effective at fending off Kodachis but not Scorchers, so as long as you have a couple of Lotus you can attack confident in the knowledge that your opponent MUST deal with the attack rather than trying to go for your own economy.

Beware spreading out your army. A smaller force can defeat a larger one if it can fight bits of it one by one. Concentration of force is important to winning battles. The only reason to spread anything is to intercept raider attacks before they can reach vulnerable areas and there's rarely a good reason to have two different army blobs in different places.

On strategy:


Zero-K is a game about territory control and using that territory for economic advantage to snowball to victory with a vicious cycle of more income->more new economic buildings made->more units->more territory->more income.
The first few minutes are critical and the game is often won or lost at this point, even if it lasts much longer.

Information is key to winning the game, basic radar is cheap and spammable and will give you vital information about where enemy armies are, where they are not and where his expansion is. This is very important for being able to raid the enemy economy while avoiding their army.

On counters:


The basic riot beats raider beats skirmisher beats riot triangle is worth remembering, but there's also some other counters worth noting. In particular, tank really struggles to deal with skirmishers due to its lack of light raider and skirmisher of its own. The Dominatrix vehicle in particular is devastating to tank players due to the high cost of tank units and its own range. With a single Ripper to defend them from Kodachis, a force of Dominatrix can drive a tank army from the field, just be careful with enemy Stingers (they're tank's main defence against Dominatrix)!

On micro:


Kodachi and most other units have an "interesting" relationship, in that if the Kodachi is running away from the enemy it will defeat a much larger force and if it's running towards the enemy it will often die (this is partly because the fire lingers on the ground behind it for a while). The basic unit AI doesn't quite understand this so you need to be sure to not let your raiders run after Kodachis.
This also applies to a lesser extent to Scorchers.

Fencers cannot fire while moving and are slower than Kodachis, if facing Kodachis you either want to retreat them early or not at all.

Misc:


Commander upgrades are rarely worth it in a 1v1. That amount of metal is normally better as units.

Tanks are more expensive than most other factories, worth bearing in mind when assessing relative army strength.
