JackalS says, that he cannot connect to Zero-K.info.
I tried to give him the IP address, but it seems to only work with "Zero-K.info" in your browser location.

Why doesn't work it with IP only?

Normal and very reasonnable behavior.

Because you didn't request the zero-k.info website... you just connected to a web server.

Well, the issue for USrankJackalS is that could not connect through the url, not even though zero-k lobby. He simply receives a 404 error.

The problem is apparently intermittent. He says that if he waits a while, he can access the site. He also tried forwarding the UDP port normally used by Spring.

If he receive a 404 even with zklobby, it means his ISP is playing games with him... by having transparent proxies in the path (unless he has manually configured an HTTP proxy). He should consider changing ISP if that is the case... there is no reason to accept that kind of misbehavior by an ISP.

Next time he gets this, I suggest that he use firefox and install an extension such as "Live HTTP Headers" and post the details of the failed request/response here. Or, if he knows how to use a sniffer such as wireshark... capture traffic for such a failed request and see what kind of suspicious stuff is in there.

I believe i had the same problem.
The reason was that there was a proxy configuration in internet explorer (as if i had ever used that).

USrankJackalS, check your proxy settings in internet explorer (google it if needed).
