Zero-K will not stop freezing

I just froze 3 separate times in a game. Every time I rejoined, the game froze even quicker than before. I've had this same problem for quite a while, now; at least a month, if not more. I eventually gave up ZK for a while, and only just came back and tried to play... and it STILL wouldn't let me. It just freezes, like, 6 minutes in, if that.

Is anyone else having this problem? Can anyone offer me some advice? I run on HughesNet Satellite internet, so maybe that has something to do with it, I dunno. It NEVER caused me any problems like this before; it's always been a perfectly fine connection with little to no freezing. And then suddenly this starts happening? Something's not adding up. I don't remember what version of ZK this started happening in, unfortunately.

Help?

Nobody can help you if you do not post an infolog. Use this site here to share your infolog.

Oh, right. I forgot about the Infolog.txt file. Thanks. Here's a link to a pastebin I just made -- hope it works.

Thanks, disabling Chili Chat Bubbles seems to have fixed the problem!

Never mind. My game is still freezing even after that. I just froze in the middle of a battle after only 2 minutes. Here's another pastebin link to the infolog from that little fiasco:

I'd like you to run a game with the setting Logflush=1 (or whichever option it was). Pastebin it then disable Logflush (it makes performance go fly a kite)

try disable ATI hacks (is currently set to 1 or true)

What are ATI hacks, and how do I enable/disable them? I didn't see them in the F11 menu ingame.

Logflush=1... you mean, type that in the middle of a game? Or do I need to edit a file in the game folder somewhere?

Edit your spring.cfg (through zkl). There's an option called LogFlush which causes the log file to be written as it happens rather than writing it after a buffer or something fills up. This is why your log file abruptly ends. With LogFlush on, it will not end abruptly and we can find out why you are crashing. However, its a bitch on performance, so be sure to turn it off as soon as your done.

I'm probably wrong on my description so feel free to correct me if your more knowledgeable.

Wait so it got removed? Damn it... too many changes in my cold sleep. Hahaha.. very outdated.

Not removed, just changed to be LogFlushLevel=0

Ok, I turned LogFlushLevel to 0 and played a game. It froze after 9 minutes. Here's the infolog for that:

The strange thing is, I didn't notice any major performance problems like you were saying. I played almost at optimal speed.

My memory is outdated by 3 months. Remember that.

Again it froze, after only 2 minutes of gametime. And in far less than that after I rejoined. Guys, this is becoming absolutely ridiculous. Unless I get this fixed, I simply cannot play Zero-K, because it won't let me stay in games without constantly freezing. Here is another infolog in Pastebin, but I doubt it'll be of much use. I disabled ATI Hacks like DErankAdminmojjj recommended, and that apparently did nothing. I disabled Chili Chat Bubbles like AUrankAdminGoogleFrog mentioned, and I got nothing. Please. If anyone can help me fix this once and for all, I will be supremely grateful. ZK is one of my favorite games, and yet it constantly feels like I'm back playing matches of Warcraft 3 where everyone was at constant risk of disconnection.

Here's the pastebin link. I appreciate the time and patience of everyone even reading down to this point. Thanks.

Do you have the previous one (should be called _infolog or so)? This one is of the Candlejack variety so it might be hard to get useful information fro

Why not try doing a null-AI battle, and when you start the game type "/luaui disable" and wait ten minutes for crashing to happen?

Would that interfere with the logging of events?

BTW i see no mention of uninstalling and reinstalling Spring and ZK.
Do it now!

Just make sure to save the map files to copy paste back into your new install so you don't have to deal with that mess!

C:\Users\MyUserName\Documents\My Games\Spring\maps

Copy paste that folder to your desktop.

After the reinstallation of both spring and ZK, take that folder from your desktop and copy-paste that folder back into

C:\Users\MyUserName\Documents\My Games\Spring

My maps folder is currently 4.55 GB large!
if you post C:\Users\MyUserName\Documents\My Games\Spring with a <> around "MyUserName" it makes the server throw a dangerous request error :D
Your computer might just be bad. Stuff like this is worrying from a graphics perspective:

[f=0000000] [cawidgets.lua] Error: Error in Initialize(): [string "LuaUI/Widgets/gfx_outline.lua"]:121: attempt to call field 'CreateShader' (a nil value)

You also have a bunch of extra widgets that I cannot vouch for. Try disabling those. For example:

[f=0000000] [cawidgets.lua] Error: Error in Shutdown()
[f=0000000] [cawidgets.lua] Error: Error in Shutdown(): [string "LuaUI\Widgets\gui_pip.lua"]:687: attempt to call field 'DeleteShader' (a nil value)
[f=0000000] [cawidgets.lua] Error: Removed widget: Picture-in-Picture
[f=0000000] [cawidgets.lua] Error: Error in Initialize(): [string "LuaUI\Widgets\gui_pip.lua"]:643: attempt to call field 'CreateShader' (a nil value)
[f=0000000] [cawidgets.lua] Error: Removed widget: Picture-in-Picture

Find a way to reliably reproduce the freeze in order to check whether any test fixes the problem. Try running spring.exe with this text file http://pastebin.com/4kS5ibsL
