Windows:
http://mumble.com
download and install
ensure your microphone is enabled in windows before you try to set up in mumble

Linux:
use your lovely package manager
-> sudo apt-get install mumble

when setting up:
Recommend using push to talk but REMEMBER to not use a key that spring uses such as r for repair ;)

to connect:
hit Add New...
Label it spring or something easy to remember
the address is: springrts.com
the port can be left as the default and that is: 64738
username: your ZK username

then select it from the list (its what you called it in label)
and hit connect.

scroll down to 0-K and double click it!

How to get Steam overlay in Zero-K: 1. launch Steam 2. add non-steam game -> Zero-K 3. Launch ZK from Steam 4. do NOT press shift tab while in lobby 5. get in game with Steam friend 6. play game and press shift tab.

I had a question regarding mumble in ZK: does it figure out what game and team you are on and only send and receive from that team or is it just all spring players in one voice chat room?

No. You still have to select a room in Mumble.

Will all hosts and teams have a room?

Just get on the thing and stop asking questions. There's about 100 rooms. Usually fewer than a dozen have any people in them at all.

XD: Thx, now I know how to communicate with your AI-ally!
XD: * Go into your system control center and:
XD: * You have to select the Microsoft SAM computer default voice.
XD: If you are using Linux, sorry, your stupid AI-ally won't understand your high-level-language.

If find an application which set itself between mumble and your microphone you can do anything with it.
Do you know about DaemonTools which make fake drives for ISOs? Why shouldn't there be an application for audio control and fake microphones (which are selectable by mumble).

I hope you can find it with google :)
