Tournament poll

I will be willing to enter a Bi-weekly tournament. How are you going to fill the prize pool?

It was monthly, alternating between 1v1 and 2v2 modes. Or you could say it was bimonthly 1v1 and bimonthly 2v2.

I would be in.

I would like to see 1vs1, 2vs2 and 3vs3 torunaments.

Also Clanwars would be nice, but i dont think there are enough active clans, beside Mean and Mumble. (All solo players, go get a clan... its 10x the fun btw)

I would do it every secend week, but more likely sunnday because saturday and friday most people aren't at home.


I dont think that there needs to be a price for the Winner(s). Maybe a little note on the first page of Zerok. Or maybe something like a hall of fame? (even a forum thread could fullfill that role)



By the way. This is maybe a good way to get people on learning how to play bether.

Answering Questions:

Prize pool is filled from tournament entry fees. If each person paid say, 5 euro to enter then 3 euro of that would go to pool and 2 would go to help run servers (IRL this would be called a venue fee)

For everyone who said it was too frequent: The point of a bi weekly tournament is not large numbers but rather consistency. If you can show that you have consistency in a certain event, eventually more people will join, especially if its not required you have to join every tournament and people know its happening.

For 2plus2is5: This is not a form of online gambling because it is entirely skill based. I really don't think there's anything in this entire game that doesn't require skill.

Also some other things I forgot to mention:

Bracket will not be done with challonge for these tournaments, I will use smash.gg instead. This site also lets me do seeding, people can register themselves, and they can pay into the tournament.

I'm currently working on a not broken good list of maps and a standard ruleset for each format. I might go throw that on ZKwiki when done.

I dont like the idea of an entrance price...

I think people should be motivated to play by the game itself.
