All maps look fine on my client but not this map for some reason and really makes it unplayable :(

Everything else like my fac and units retain textured but it practically makes it impossible for me to see where to place my buildings as even building placement is absolutely invisible to the eye as well.

I was told by my friend that updating the GPU might fix the problem and I also know that AMD cards may run into problems with OpenGL by which I hope that's not the problem as I'm running Sapphire R7 260X on my PC

Putting my settings to defaults fixes the problem but I really don't want to be using defaults to reduce the lag

I'll post a screenshot soon for dev fixing reference

I'll post settings tomorrow since I'm sleepy already

and where do I find infolog.txt CHrankivand?

I think there are two options to submit your infolog.

In any case. Run Zero-K, find the huge "Help" button on the left side of the screen, then either:

  • press "Report a bug", fill in the fields and Submit. The game will open a browser window/tab with the link to your bug report. Post this link here.
  • click Links, then select "Game Data". This should open you a folder where your game is. The infolog.txt should be there. So, host Calamity 1.1 map in skirmish, make sure graphical bug is there, exit the game, locate infolog, post it somewhere and post the link here.

CHrankivand thanks for the help, I did the second method and put all the contents of infolog here:

This infolog is crazy long and has a lot of noise. Looking for the word error immediately yielded more than 1000 occurrences, even my browser started become unresponsive.

Can you do the following:
  • Exit the game lobby
  • Locate infolog.txt and delete it. Don't worry it's safe.
  • Launch lobby
  • Start single player --> skirmish game. Choose inactive AI as opponent (make sure to remove default AI). Change map to Calamity 1.1. Start the game.
  • Observe the visual glitch
  • Exit from the game, then immediately from the lobby.
  • Upload infolog.txt

Also does your visual artifact appear on any other map? Look for big ones in particular.

"Warning: This stacktrace indicates a problem with your graphics card driver, please try upgrading it."

This seems like the most relevant error. Graphics card is not specifically detected in the infolog anywhere I can find.

This hang detector should be leashed somehow, it causes so many false positives...
This is most likely one of them.

Try with HangTimeout = -1. See what happens.

It doesn't appear on any map, only this one

CHrankivand https://privatebin.net/?a8304126d4ead68b#7UM7WSSHhItmbnELfkBd/oUydCp/9f/91kmWQKJYW5Q=

CArankTheMooseIsLoose thanks for that, I found it on the second info log as well

@_Shaman EDIT: I followed the instructions you sent to me in ZK Lobby and apparently the map loads normally for a second before suddenly turning back into the broken version of the map.

I did ivand's instructions again after applying the Atihacks and HangTimeout then posting it here:

[f=-000001] Input grabbing is enabled! <- this line looks suspicious to me but welp IDK much how all these things work anyways so not sure

UPDATE:
Putting settings back to defaults no longer fixes the problem

Interesting.

It seems we're getting somewhere.

Edit:

Reviewed some suspicious line in the latest infolog:

[f=-000001] Warning: Couldn't find texture "LuaMenu\Images\MinimapThumbnailsWorld_FFA.jpg"!

[f=-000001] Custom Unit Shaders:, Vertex shader failed to compile with the following errors:
ERROR: 0:31: error(#421) Keyword or operator "out" usage incorrect. GLSL version number 130 is required.
ERROR: 0:36: error(#421) Keyword or operator "out" usage incorrect. GLSL version number 130 is required.
ERROR: 0:39: error(#421) Keyword or operator "out" usage incorrect. GLSL version number 130 is required.
ERROR: 0:40: error(#421) Keyword or operator "out" usage incorrect. GLSL version number 130 is required.

Try with
AdvMapShading = 0
AdvUnitShading = 0

I'm a bit lost.

CUS errors shouldn't affect map rendering and generally shouldn't throw errors like this.
I guess you will need to do the following:
1. Go to the last working graphical preset. Reload Zero-K lobby. Make sure Calamity looks well.
2. Screenshot or right down the individual graphical setting on a) Last working graphical preset b) Preset where you have visual glitches.
3. Now go to the last working graphical preset and change setting one by one for those that are different between presets. Load Calamity and observe if changing some the individual setting break things.

Might sound like a lot of work. Yeah it's. But this way I found one particular setting due to which my FPS was dropping from 80 to 1 on older GPU.

EDIT: Actually there is one extra idea. Assuming you are are in skirmish, when in game on this map and see the bug, type into the chat:
/cheat
/luarules disable
/luaui disable
/advmapshading 0
/advmodelshading 0

See if any of last 4 have any effect.

I did what CHrankivand said but sadly I couldn't really get the game back to working state on that map no more
Though I did try the set of commands in-game on that map and the result is:

@_Shaman Now my springsettings.cfg has:

Atihacks = 1
AdvMapShading = 0
AdvUnitShading = 0
HangTimeout = -1

Info log is here:

https://privatebin.net/?e20058b2b44c9ac8#A4zgNEE3MJaOWduKbR/gvR/WTqqbBJrT2H6Om6X0OLo=

Problem still exists

I just remembered I got custom settings up for ZK through RadeonSettings, gonna give it a try without those and see if it works

EDIT:

Interestingly, after disabling custom RadeonSettings for ZK and putting it to Low settings at the lobby gave me this:

It loaded normally at first then after 1 second turns into that bugged version of the map

With that, I closed the game, deleted infolog and reproduced that same thing and closing the game/lobby again. Here's the new infolog:

Can you go to some other map with the current settings and post infolog?

Also the error traces keep telling something is wrong with your driver stack. I guess you have tried already switching to latest stable or alternatively latest beta version of AMD driver?

CHrankivand Sorry for the late reply

I was able to fix the problem thankfully by having kept a clean copy of ZK and updating it to the latest version

The map is now loading fine even if I use minimal graphic settings through reset settings which is awesome

I like latest update as well which is running pretty good on my machine

Thanks for all the help CHrankivand and @_Shaman

Glad you sorted that out. A bit bad we likely won't know what was causing it.
