Learned a lot about what not to do in this game. Eco alone won it.

- razors cant stop bomber spam
- switch to emissary is 100% necessary in stand offs
- artemis best to deal with late game air
- athena uncloaked by default? stupid but ok
- dagger apparently shoots underwater

I dont agree with anarchid that amphib is out of meta, whats so great about hover? I'd still rather archer/grizzly and make air+tank later on (to bomb lances and porc push with emissary). It would honestly be a 20 minute game if I made emissaries and artemis. My attrition was soo bad just sitting useless non-artillery units in front of lances, emissaries, tremors. I dont think any of my air units lasted more than a minute either but thats normal for me I'm shit with air, maybe need to play icon wars more.

Tank start actually would good too. Not sure how kodachi vs dagger looks.

I promptly disagreed with myself a few seconds after sending the lines about amph being bad. Grizz is likely the go-to endgame spam heavy now that Cyclops is weaker against it, which props Amph up a bit.

You didn´t win through eco. You won by destroying Deins buildpower and nuke the exact moment he got the 7k reclaim in front of his base. All went into the ether...

Bombing caretakers is the most efficient use of tacnukes indeed. The single tacnuke on my caretakers cost me over 10k metal in excess.

something like 8 grizzly wrecks that probably never fired a single shot cuz I brought a knife to an emissary fight, couldnt stopped him even if I wanted to

I mean sure the tact nuke sub saved me from deinfreund making a comeback but it was eco that kept me swimming against the tide despite horrible attrition right from the start

also I space my nanos and eco out quite evenly, even when you had free bombing run it didnt hurt me that much - PRO TIP!

Yes, I noticed when I tried to bomb your eco. It's just so much easier to place one caretaker cluster surrounded by factories.

I think this map favors hover because Daggers are much faster than Ducks and Archers while hover cons are faster and cheaper than amph cons.
Daggers aren't that great against defences though and Archers can easily deal with Dagger and Halberd harassment but Ducks and Archers aren't that great against light defences either so it plays out pretty defensively on both sides.
Hovers can also do some slow harassment with Maces which Amphs doesn't really have a response to.
Early midgame, hovers can abuse their Thunderbird advantage because Maces are faster than Grizzlies and Buoys.
Lances are also decent at damaging Grizzlies and forcing them back but they are easily bombed if you aren't careful.
I think the hover advantage is large enough on this map to make up for the cost of an extra factory and the hover player can start spamming Grizzlies themselves or go for that early airswitch.
