iGPU crash.

I have figured out iGPU on my PC. I have decided to use my integrated graphics as my primary display because it has better display quality. When I have made the necessary configurations for Zero-k to run on my discrete GPU it crashes. Anybody know of a solution?

I have tweaked with "compatibility mode" and "Intel/ATI compatability". It still crashes.

its not intel onboard is it.. because its often regarded as looking better then it is

My display GPU is the Intel integrated (see first post) but Zero-K was supposed to run of my discrete GPU, the Intel integrated does not run Zero-K very well.

Here is the info log. I remember getting a error pop up saying "Access violation"

Looks like everything crashes before even being able to query the driver for your GPU capabilities.

This heavily implies that it's the driver crashing for whatever reason.

I have turned on iGPU in the BIOS and then I went to the Windows 10 graphics settings and added spring.exe and set it to run on High Performance which will make it run off the discrete GPU. I't won't work when you add the zero-k application, it will just use the Intel integrated graphics, unless, that is why it is crashing. Zero-k launches on the integrated graphics and when you try to start a game and spring.exe tries to run on the discrete GPU it will crash!

I tried to run the Zero-k application and spring.exe off the discrete GPU; it crashed. I have made an error in the last post. The game crashes when I try to open Zero-K.

I don't use Windows, but it seems me strange to use that mixed approach you describe, that you use the iGPU as the primary GPU but trying to run ZK on the discrete GPU. Can you try to disable the iGPU entirely (in the BIOS?), and to use the discrete GPU only?

I may have not been clear iGPU is a feature to put simply to use one GPU for display (such as the Intel integrated graphics) and the discrete GPU for rendering. As I have mentioned, I use the integrated graphics because is has better display output and my GPU is a AMD 250x not a top of the line model.

Update: I have disabled the iGPU in BIOS. Still does not work when I try to run it off the discrete GPU.

I mean can you try to disable the integrated (onboard) GPU completely, so that the OS and all the apps will use the discrete GPU.

I checked and there is not an option to disable it. If there is no solution, it looks like I will be plugging back directly into the discrete GPU.
