my hand has recovered better then expected anyway.. if you ever get a burn try this:
leave it in cold not freezing water for 4 hours.. you will need to change the water regularly and it must be clean water.. its a good idea to do this in a non insulated container such as for me a rice cooker bowl
next cover the burn with aloe vera 100% and a layer of glad-wrap/cling-film/plastic-wrap the lack of cold will cause a horrid return of the burning sensation.. to mitigate this i used a bladder water/whine placed on the burn to effectively drain the heat from the hand while i slept..
after the pain subsides reapply the aloe and or cover in honey to promote healing
