Hey all!
I have an (RTS) game in mind I'd like to make, and wanted to say hello :) .
GoogleFrog pointed out to me that Zero-K supports and provides infrastructure for practically independent games, and said he reckons I'd be welcomed here, so I'll be settling here at least for the near future (it makes life easier to have an audience and some of the intrastructure stuff straight to begin with :D ).
The game itself I'll not get into too much right now (for want of time), but play + style wise, its near future, ground war focused (aside from air / drone strikes perhaps) and conflict is set on Antarctica.
My plan atm is to make a "mock-up" first (probably using some Zero-K models as stand-ins), trying to get a rough feeling for the gameplay I'm looking for, and then see where I go from there.
Oh, for those of you that know it (or have played it), Expand and Exterminate (by Fang/er) is a core inspiration :D !
