I'm using Debian 11 with backports, and have been trying to get the game working. I finally got the game installed and running, and able to load up a game on my very slow internet, but I ran into the persistent problem of non-functional audio. I checked the log and every time I find this:

[t=00:00:00.241912][f=-000001] [Sound] [Sound::InitThread][1]
[t=00:00:00.241956][f=-000001] [Sound] [Sound::OpenLoopbackDevice] UseSDLAudio is set, rendering openal-soft audio to SDL buffer and let SDL audio handle the hardware
[t=00:00:00.255152][f=-000001] [Sound] [Sound::OpenLoopbackDevice] SDL audio device(s):

[t=00:00:00.359683][f=-000001] [WatchDog::DeregisterThread] deregistering controls for thread [audio]

every time I run the game, I get this same sequence, and the same error.

I'll post this to the engine devs. They will probably want a full infolog.

Thanks. I'm going to try to get it working by redownloading it. My internet is terribad, so here's hoping it works.
