How to change to simple queued building footprint

Hello,
Just built a new machine and installed Zero-K.
Issue that I have is the icon/placeholder/footprint/??? for a new building is something funky, rather than just a green square.
Example: caretaker shows as a crosshatched oversize 3D square... and I can't see the green square 'footprint' to place another right next to it.
The gauss cannon looks like it's shooting something... can't remember what looks like a palm tree shadow
How do I get queued buildings back to just green squares/rectangles?

NewPC:
MB: Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX
Disk: Samsung 980 PRO PCIe® 4.0 NVMe™ SSD 1TB
Primary Monitor: Samsung LC27F396FHNXZA @ 1920 x 1080

I figure it has to do with the graphics settings tuned a LOT higher than they were with my old PC and RX550 graphics card... just can't figure out which setting needs to be turned down.

Thanks for any help!
Kurt

Sorry!, should have gotten back to this.
I tried a bunch of changes, like taking graphics from ultra to lowest and it didn't make a difference.
Then I start in with the settings in the game, but nothing seemed to change.
Today, things are back to how they were appearing... just the green box footprint with a tiny icon in the middle. I must have changed something that didn't take effect in the game until a full restart.
I'm am unsure what I changed, but it's back to the way it was... except now some things (like opponent factories) show a lot information, rather than just the name. I'll have to 'play' with the settings a little more. Hope I don't mess it up...
Googlefrog, thanks for your interest and reply.
