What are some examples of the undesired behaviors? Did you report these users?

I reported 2. There were more. One player /all that a Zenith was being built.

It if it was just bickering then w/e... online gonna online. The issue is that one spectator /all game info and then people started to argue in /all.

The problem is never one person did one thing. The problem is on person starts, then another +1s, then another +2s, then another +50s...

I'm not calling for the change to be permanent, but I think there is a new wave of players that need to lose the privilege to understand its value.

can we make it so that it is standard for one to play at least 4 games of campaign before getting into stuff like teams

It would be helpful to have replay links with the reports.

to be honest. Its easy to find who the children are. Just mute Jiggles, Logix, and flying fortress and your games will be clean :)

Here is an example.

Multiplayer B1761194 22 on Fields_Of_Isis

Orlicek reveals zenith between 75 and 80%. After that we get into an argument where the spectators and people in lobby are constantly /all chatting.

You could potentially give some more trusted players mod powers over specchat or something.

I think we should make "spec chat" a toggle, and disable it by default in all auto-host lobbies. I also find myself accidentally leaking information or saying something in /all by mistake when I'm talking to other spec. I think it only has a good use in watching private games however where ppl can give another player advice etc.

Look, I understand that the community is small and that I am sure a lot of people log on to chat as almost if not 50% of the reason.

I don't have much of an issue with what people are saying. In general, I don't care. The problem I have is that I pay close attention to chat to see if my allies are calling for things (scouts, needs help, tech switch...whatever game related thing) and then I see specs argue over stupid drama...

They goat each other which makes noise on team coms and then sometimes, even if by accident, they leak game info.

I have never complained about spectators talking about whatever to other spectators. I have no interest in moderating speech. What I don't like is when game info leaks or when specs talk to /all which spills over the team chat. If I could filter my chat to viewing teams only, outside of obvious game info leaks, I wouldn't care at all.

That and spectators goating players, which is disctracting to at least those players.

I'll be serious, I've had some modaction against me because of goating other people (specifically USrankqruntingsquid). The people doing it will eventually get banned if you just report them, because spectator /all-chatting is already frowned upon. If they spite others with it and maybe even reveal info, at the least, they will get a warning when reported.

MrJigglesGod intentionally spreading the message that i apparently act childish when trying to facilitate an nice game of sorts is childish in of itself, instead of just ignoring me and going on with his day.

Also yes, go continue downvoting my comment if you feel the need to MrJigglesGod, judging this is how you act. :D

just the fact that unknownrankTheFlyingFortress says this in a forum with a completely different topic should go to show how childish he is. I agree with USrankMrJigglesGod here, even if he might not personally like me

"bro got mad because he doesnt have enough elo for palladium", sums up how you act on a regular basis pretty well imo.

But i guess, im just coming out of the random with this, this is a topic regarding behavior so what do you mean?

I could go on, and on and on listing how you shouldnt even say anything regarding this topic either way, (Hint: look at your profile), that sums this up even more well.

" PENALTY: Repeated flagrant abuse of spectator allchat e.g. https://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/1729404
Cannot spectator chat

Stop derailing the thread. I also am under the impression that spectators all-chatting can sometimes be not ideal. The change to FFA to remove spectator all-chat allowances, although annoying for conversing, is not necessarily an issue, and I would welcome it for Autohosted battles overall.

+, one can circumvent all chat by opening the lobby and writing message in the lobby chat, am I right? Or is it not possible?

So disabling all chat is won't go against those edge cases where spectators might need to notify players about something.

(my bad)
The FFA spec all chat ban is pretty annoying, since having convos not about zero-k can be very fun, especially when you are playing by yourself, and the FFA is very intense. However, spectator all-chatting in all teams is almost always bad. The players have other people on their team to talk to, and you are not adding anything to the conversation.

I do not. I like being able to explain mechanics to a newby or explain to someone lambasting their team mate that they did nothing wrong (my two most common usecases).
