Nubrake sounds like you should stop playing lobpot and come join us merry few who care about coordination in Small Teams lobbies.
Even if I'm still a lob who loses a lot (and causes my team to lose sometimes) I still feel like myself and my team mates have a more enjoyable time in a smaller team game where we talk more and at least
try to listen to each other amidst chaos.
And also throw in some 1v1 of course like suggested above. Unlike small teams you won't struggle to find players to play with.
Maybe that could help you appreciate your own skill level more. Sounds like you've been unlucky, and it's occasionally good to enjoy a 1v1 victory (or close loss) to remind yourself that you're skills are dope and this whole thing is NOT hopeless. And also that this is an amazing game based on an RTS engine with a design far more innovative than most RTS
And then finally: get stronker. Less Q_Q more pew pew. Man, I've been in some medium-sized team games where my jaw just dropped at how one person carried the team from almost-sure defeat to victory. Usually Atosty -- I love/hate playing against him for this reason, but there are many other players by whom I felt inspired even as they whipped my ass to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
So maybe I can ask that as a productive question for this thread: anyone got some good replays of a determined player turning things around for their team? Doesn't have to be like l33t purple skillz or anything, sometimes less experienced players hit hard with basic good sense.
