u have the buildpower per constructor, and i would recomend overbuild bp and manage default build priority for some usefull buildings, and manually manage the build priority for ur buildings, is a bit micro intensive but for me is the best use and i usually dont go into metal excess at all, only if im reclaiming a lot and i havent built storage. i recomend to know more or less what bp u have, the factory is 10, each caretaker is 10 more, and constuctors are usually 5bp except spiders, gunships and tanks, i think that are 7.5bp, and striders funnelweb is 40 bp and atenna is 20bp

The unit selection panel tells you the total build power of your selected units among its summary statistics, so if you need to know how much you have available, you can Ctrl+A to select all your units and look at that.

JUST LOOK UP FRIEND !

TOP OF THE SCREEN IN THE MIDDLE, GREEN BAR WITH THE RED TEXT...

THE RED TEXT IS YOUR TOTAL BP AT THE MOMENT !

Ah - "metal demand" = build power. Yes, that makes sense.
Thx.

Not necessarily. Morphing also consumes metal and would appear as red on the metal bar, repairing constructors would show as red on the energy bar in addition to whatever's going to overdrive/cloak/morph/etc., reclaiming constructors would appear as positive in either the metal and/or energy bars depending on what they're reclaiming, and idle constructors wouldn't appear at all. It's at best a measure of "active construction" buildpower provided there's no morphing going on, which is still helpful in its own right though.

There might be a buildpower extra number in the resource bar settings. Like the wind and overdrive buttons.
