Proposition : Dead doesn't vote

I propose that the teammates dead couldn't vote.

- Some people use "resign" as a way to force the game to stop. They resign if they want, but why stopping the others to game ?

- Some people resign but vote "no" when their still in-game mates want to quit. If they resigned, why forcing others to continue ?

- A lot of people don't pay attention to votes. That's particularly the case for "dead peoples". When there is a lot of dead peoples, votes often fail because not enough people pay attention.

I think only the people that are doing something in game should be allowed to vote if they want to stop or continue. Dead / resigned people don't play, they shouldn't decide for the others.

Now, if you excuse me, I have peanut butter to buy.

I forgot to specify : I'm speaking about "will we resign" polls.

Absolutely, those who resign shouldn't get to vote at all in the current match. Especially since they now see the whole map.

changing this will result in at-least one single submerged duck hunt =D

maybe thats ok?.. but just keep in mind if the last living player wants to troll they will have impunity to drag a hopeless game into a watch me play bury me commander event..

if your ok with handing every player the power to hold games into existence then you may endeavour to do so.. but beware.. the power that you give them can and may be used against you one day for trolling

Well you get the Overwhelming Advantage kicking in which makes hunting the last units pretty easy in the few cases it happens.

On the whole, I'm not sure it will shorten games or not.
Like sometimes, if the game lasts for a long time, lots of people might resign and do something else while waiting for the game end and while not caring to vote or watching the vote. In that case, it probably shortens already precluded games.
On the other hand, if someone is really stubborn and want to play the match out, they will be able to do that. Well the other players already resigned from the game, so why should they vote on the continuation, when they could, you know, go into another game room and try to start another battle in another lobby.

I find it annoying when people resign early just because they lost their lane and don't care about what else is happening on the map and just keeps voting to resign and start a new game. Sometimes games end way to early from that.

If the last player wants to fight the enemy team, let them do that. It's their right. Let the better win. That some players don't know how to win or lose matches is an orthogonal issue.

I would like to change to the OP. Specifically that dead teammates should vote as if they were spectators (ie for not very much).
