How to play Vs Enemy AI????

Greencandy 11 years ago Hi, Using Mint 14 cinnamon 64bt, SpringLobby 0.168 I select single player, load the Altair_crossing_v3 map, select Zero-k v1.1.3.6 under the game tab, hit add bot, select AAI 0.9, hit add bot - but they are allways a "ally" so i can never play a game against the computer - Its driving me nutz!!!! what am i doing wrong?? +1 / -0
GoogleFrog 11 years ago There should be some way to make them an enemy. Try clicking on the enemy. Also use CAI to play with bots, the other bots are not supported. They come with the engine and show up in the options for every game even though they now only work with a few games. They are likely to crash or sit there doing nothing. +1 / -0

Greencandy 11 years ago the only difference is > Im red and their yellow Mine says ally 1 and theirs says ally 2 ( i can change these numbers but it stays as ally ) +0 / -0

Greencandy 11 years ago soz, im still having problems, i added 3 other "ally"s, started them game - they all died instantly leaving me alone on the map again :/ Also i cant get rid of the stats window that appears at the start, i click it does nothing .. this deffo not the "install" & play type game lol +0 / -0

Ive tried it with a different bot setup, i went for > KAIK 0.13 this time and where it did start the game with another bot this time, he just stood there and done nothing ( no building ), he did defend himself when i attacked, but after i blew him up the game didn't end? Can u advise what a CAI bot is n how it makes a difference? +0 / -0
Saktoth 11 years ago CAI is the bot written for Zero-K to play Zero-K. The others are not, do not use them. The other ones come with the engine and are not supported: IE they are likely to break. They use a generic set of behaviours and expectations about the functioning of a game on the Spring engine that do not necessarily apply to Zero-K. +1 / -0
