I find it really hard to keep everything I need to do in mind in 1v1. Usually I neglect reclaim, raiding or expansion as a result of that. Is there a technique to remembering to take full advantage of everything?

Remember what to do is not my poblem, microwing those units are. Cant move fast enaught with the mouse to give orders to all units. If i had 4-5 hands and 4-5 cursors with separate mouse i may micro moar:D

Forgot to mention now that i saw what other players write:

-i am in 90-95% most of the time zoomed out

-keep like 50% of my time one eye to the minimap

-my biggest flaw is that i use like 90-80% of the commands i make with mouse, and keyboard very rare (movement, selecting units from ctrl+1 etc., area attack, area reclaim, fight command).

Weird is that i almost move as fast as som1 using keybinds( or i think i do). Il try post a replay on how my gaming works. Can som1 suggest me a recording program easy to use?

I play zoomed out, so I can see everything that's going on on the map, this overview allows me to notice where I have to expand. As a result, however, my micro/raiding is suboptimal.

I don't remember anything when playing 1v1.

I fall through into the flow, and the whole universe becomes focused on winning.

It is a good feeling.

I remember my eyes were on the minimap most of the time and i always have F4 turned on to see where most reclaim is...

F4-mode is win-mode. im always in win-mode and its save to say my 1v1-teamgame-ratio is near zero.

There has got to be a better way to make metal as visible as it should be besides going with the hideous F4-mode.

I coded a lua widget that, through an engine patch, can access a controlled voltage source which is connected to my nipples by 2 cables. Whenever i excess metal, stall energy or forget an idle con, the device reminds me i forgot something in a very effective way.

Micro units less, focus on expansion.

play a lot

The issues you mentioned are typical routine tasks that you can train your mind to execute without much thought. You can practise to do all of those the same time.

Grinding CAI games on CCR might help you a bit. Don´t try to win but just macro, raid, don´t stall, move multiple armies etc etc

How is that in any way related to playing ZK?

EDIT: Nevermind, I don't want to know. Whatever Kyubey-esque insanity this is must not be spoken of or it will infect the entire playerbase!

Regarding the actual topic of the thread, is there a reason some people don't use f4 mode?

you asked how i play 1v1, that is what you get...

i literaly don't pay atention to the game or bother memorising anything

i just predict all your units probable positions and then counter the predicted actions like some kind of evil supercomputer. then i get back to singing, and cute cat comic/manga

If there is much metal lying on the ground (hardly ever happen in 1v1) F4 mode may kill quite a few FPS, because of the glowing thingy.

OBS I guess. Its probably the best, and is free. Mostly used for streaming but it can record video + audio.
