Here is the battle with he most assaults (Hermit) from Spider. The army was still predominantly Crab, Recluse and Venom, which I would expect to have a bit of trouble vs Tremor protected by Knight and Sling.

The battle seemed to go reasonably well. The main thing the spiders could have done is attacked less piecemeal. Using Attack-Move against the Knights was pretty bad, since the army had the power to just run over the Knights and kill the artillery behind. Attack-Move caused the Recluse to sit in the Tremor fire for too long and be a bit slow to move up behind the Venom.

At this point the spiders were set to kill all the artillery, but they regrouped downhill to give the cloakbots a chance to get into a good concave and to give the Tremor more time to fire.

The spiders ended up dying to hanging around in double tremor fire. One Tremor was killed by a flank though. The spiders could have made more use of the terrain to the north to spread out and flank the Tremors.

Tremor does look like a nice answer to Crab spire, at least on this map and with a bit of an advantage to begin with. If you let your opponent spend ~2000 metal getting to Tremor then perhaps a switch in response is wise. I am not that surprised that two factories can be combined into a strong composition against one. Switching into combos as the game goes on seems like something to encourage.
