3 [q]I don't quite understand your post (and what we talked about on Discord) because when you describe how you would have liked to have seen the old Dante tweaked, what I read is basically how it was tweaked. Ie it lost effective rocket range and burn time, and gained some HP and speed to compensate. This feels like the main part of the Dante change to me, the rest is minor. 3 [q]I don't quite understand your post (and what we talked about on Discord) because when you describe how you would have liked to have seen the old Dante tweaked, what I read is basically how it was tweaked. 5 My experience with Dante in large games, for the last good while, is that people don't built it that much, and when they do it is a tanky Firewalker with janky controls. It was in an unstable spot where it has to either admit that it is a Firewalker (with proper UI), or stop being a Firewalker.[/q] 5 My experience with Dante in large games, for the last good while, is that people don't built it that much, and when they do it is a tanky Firewalker with janky controls. 8 It was tweaked in that way yes, but it was to such a major extent that fairly sigificant stat buffs in other areas such as health and speed buffs were neccessary. I wouldn't have dropped the afterburn any lower then 15s of flamethrower weapons, the highest that exists excluding Dante. 8 It was tweaked in that way yes, but it was to such a major extent that fairly sigificant stat buffs in other areas such as health and speed buffs were neccessary. 10 Also the comparison to firewalker while true. There is a pretty clear difference between them in it's previous state. Dante doesn't leave puddles of fire to turn a area into a complete no go zone for everyone. It flushed out areas ahead of itself while still leaving it open to either push into or be followed up on, and being a part riot that follow up doesn't need to be another unit unlike Firewalker. 10 Also the comparison to firewalker while true. 12 Basically. The extent the range was shortened now leaves very vulnerable if it tries to push, it's pools of fire discourage it's use in offense or even having other units working alongside it. ( A Dante after firing it's D-Gun wasn't much of a risk anymore) 12 Basically. 14 As for the UI, I think that is just plainly what should have happened or a tweaking to 'admit' it's a firewalker as you said. A big part of the problem too was D-Gun had well, no cost. It seemed like someone tried to make it have a cost by virtue of the regular rockets no longer working with the D-Gun on cooldown, but that was obviously not enough. 14 As for the UI, I think that is just plainly what should have happened or a tweaking to 'admit' it's a firewalker as you said.
