That's
not
a
skill
I'm
interested
in
expressing
in
Zero-K
when
it
comes
to
attrition.
Even
with
the
chart,
you
still
have
to
work
with
imperfect
information,
so
the
strategy
element
is
still
there.

Is this more of a concern for 1v1? Even then, a chart isn't going to tell you whether a future trade is going to be favorable or not, and there's still other factors to consider, like reclaim (even a positive trade on the enemy's side of the map can be a net loss if they get the reclaim).

How is the chart affecting player behavior, if at all? Is that outcome undesirable? I see you mentioned that without it, players will (I'll insert "more likely") misjudge the game, introducing mistakes and variance. I think those mistakes could be frustrating for the player (particularly one of middling skill who isn't tracking everything well) who either thinks they're ahead and overcommits OR thinks they're behind and plays too safe. They can still make those mistakes with the attrition chart, but at least it won't be because they can't math things out on the fly.
