So, i've watched the replay. Sfireman had a limited supply of drones because he was spending all his starting cache on them, so you didn't need to hold off indefinitely.

Your second scrubber didn't see the drones before they hit, so you could/should have placed them further away to stop damage being done to com/factory, at least forcing the enemy to be inventive with attack paths -- and losing precious time.

You could have also walked a bit with commander, making it less easy to target, or have dug it in to make targeting that extra bit harder. Unsure if digging would have really helped though.

That's in 1v1 context. In teams, there was enough time for your allies to make scorchers and get to his base - a slasher costs just one second more, and would have to travel less to defend you.
